About Us

Biomedical Engineering Department was established in 2017. The master's program of the department started to provide education in 2018-2019 academic year, and the PhD program started to provide education in 2020-2021 academic year. These undergraduate programs of department aim to educate qualified researchers in the biomedical field of interest. The department aims to train technical personnel educated on the correct use of equipment for clinical engineering department of hospitals, to research human biological systems and their relations with engineering and to work in cooperation with other disciplines, to do research to solve problems in the medical field, to operate medical equipment and to develop software related to them, to design new computer simulations, to design and manufacture implant materials, to provide technical support by installing, maintaining and repairing medical equipment.
