Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department was established in 2011. It took its first students in the 2013-2014 academic year. The department consists of the Department of Materials and Manufacturing Metallurgy.
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department has a strong background in basic and engineering sciences, can analyze the structure, properties, and performance relations of materials, follows technological developments, has professional and ethical awareness, is sensitive to social and social developments, is self-confident, inclined to teamwork and communicates and aims to train successful engineers.
The aim of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department is; to train new engineers, who can understand materials, meet current needs and determine optimum compositions for prospective materials, design, produce, characterize and control quality.
