About Program
There are "Dental Prosthesis Technology Program" and "Oral and Dental Health Program" affiliated to the Department of Dentistry Services in our school. Disease problems related to oral and dental health are increasing in our country. However, the level of importance and awareness that the society attaches to oral and dental health is increasing. For this reason, oral and dental health services for the prevention of problems such as dental caries, gum diseases and tooth loss, early diagnosis and treatment are developing rapidly, and the need for dentists, which is felt in the public and private sectors, is gradually increasing. Accordingly, with the increasing number of dentists, the need for "Oral and Dental Health Technicians" who are trained with sufficient technical knowledge, equipment and skills in dental services is also increasing. In addition, there is a need for a "Dental Prosthesis Technician" in order to effectively perform treatments such as fixed prostheses, removable prostheses, implant prostheses, orthodontic appliances, interocclusal appliances, jaw and facial prosthesis applied to patients within the scope of oral and dental health services. Therefore, dental prosthesis technicians and oral health technicians, who work in an orgy with dentists, play a complementary role in the successful delivery of dental services. Our Department of Dentistry Services aims to train distinguished "Oral and Dental Health Technicians" and "Dental Prosthesis Technicians" with its qualified academic staff in both theoretical and practical fields, advanced technical facilities and laboratory environments. The education period of the Oral and Dental Health program, which accepts students in the Department of Dentistry, is 2 (two) years. Students who successfully complete this program are given an associate degree diploma and graduates are awarded the title of "Oral and Dental Health Technician".
