International Trade and Finance Department was established on 28.01.2013.
International Trade is an interdisciplinary branch of science that covers the processes for the realization of the goal of creating an effective competitive power in both the domestic and international markets in terms of all sectors, and thus contributing to the increase of the country's welfare level, taking into account the changing global environmental conditions of a country's economy.
The International Trade and Finance Department aims to provide a new generation of expert workforce in the field of international trade, which will enable Turkey to be included in the active country group from the passive country group in international markets. The program focuses on making rational decisions that will ensure effective and efficient use of resources, strategic management, international marketing, finance, international trade, human resources and contemporary management techniques, etc. deals with related processes.
Turkey has been implementing an export-based growth strategy since 1980. Our import and export volume is increasing every year. Turkey's exports in 2019 are 180 billion dollars and imports are 210 billion dollars. Konya's exports in 2019 (as of December) are 172 million dollars and its imports are 79 million dollars. The need for specialist personnel in the constantly developing sector is increasing at this rate. Our department offers the opportunity to gain work experience and work in the real sector before graduating with on-the-job training.

The mission of Necmettin Erbakan University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of International Trade and Finance; With the interdisciplinary nature of the department, it is to train operators and managers who can gain superiority in the competitive environment in global markets and gain the necessary knowledge and skills for business administration and management.

Our Vision
The vision of Necmettin Erbakan University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of International Trade and Finance; aims to train qualified trade experts, managers and leaders who have the highest level of technical and practical equipment, adhere to moral values, and receive an academic education at universal standards, who will enable developing Turkey to compete with abroad and achieve the goals it has set.
Our department started accepting its first students in the 2017-2018 period. As in all departments of our faculty, there is compulsory on-the-job training in the 8th semester in the Department of International Trade and Finance. During this period, our students are prepared for business life with on-the-job training in various companies within the sector for 14 weeks. In addition, our University accepts students to the Graduate Program with Thesis in the Department of International Trade, Institute of Social Sciences.
