He was born in 1965 in Konya-Ereğli and completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ereğli. He graduated from the Selçuk University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science in 1993. He worked as a Research Assistant at the Harran University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil in 1994-1996. He completed his master's degree (Harran University) in 1997 and his doctorate (Selçuk University) in 2006. In 1999, he started to work at the "Bahri Dağdaş International Winter Grain Research Center". He continued his studies at the newly established “Bahri Dağdaş International Agricultural Research Institute” in 2002. He worked as a project leader and assistant researcher in many projects related to plant breeding and cultivation techniques. In 2007, he was appointed as the director of the Konya Soil and Water Resources Research Institute. He continued his studies on drought, erosion, and soil conservation at the institute. He left the Institute in June 2012 and worked as a lecturer at the ÇOMU Lapseki Vocational School, Department of Plant and Animal Production. In August 2016, he started to work at the NEU Ereğli Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. He is still working as a lecturer at the Ereğli Agriculture Faculty.
