He was born in 1964 in Söğütlü District (Ambarcık Village) of Kahramanmaraş's Elbistan District. He finished primary school here. He started Imam Hatip High School in Elbistan in 1977. Afterwards, he continued at Ankara Tevfik İleri Imam Hatip High School and graduated in 1984. In the same year, S.Ü. He started his university education by entering the Faculty of Theology and graduated from the faculty in 1989. After working as a teacher for one year, he graduated from S.Ü. in 1991. He started working as a Research Assistant at the Department of Turkish Islamic Arts History, Faculty of Theology, Department of Islamic History and Arts.
After completing his master's and doctorate degrees, he worked as an assistant in 1997. Assoc. Dr. He was appointed as a faculty member. He served as a member of the Faculty Board and the Faculty Executive Board between 2007 and 2010. On 09.10.2012, he became an Associate Professor in the field of Turkish and Islamic Art and was appointed Head of the Department of History of Turkish Islamic Arts. He received the title of professor on 20.02.2018. N.E.Ü. on 04.10.2019 He was appointed as the Head of the Department of Islamic History and Arts at the Faculty of Theology. Between 2019 and 2023, N.E.Ü. He served as a member of the Faculty of Theology Board of Directors and Faculty Board. Between 04.03.2021 and 02.08.2023, N.E.Ü. He continued his duty as director of the Institute of Social Sciences. N.E.Ü. on 02.08.2023 He was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture. Currently N.E.Ü. He currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture.
