The main purpose of the Department of Finance opened under the Faculty of Political Sciences of Necmettin Erbakan University is to provide the necessary scientific and professional knowledge and skills to be able to undertake responsibility as middle and senior managers in the field of public sector.
The students of the Department of Finance receive education in a way that they can work in many areas of both the public and private sectors. Students who graduate from the Department of Finance can be employed as specialist, auditor, assistant inspector and inspector in institutions such as Ministries, particularly the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Turkish Court of Accounts, Regulation and Supervision Boards such as Public Procurement Authority, Banks and Financial Leasing Companies. In addition, graduates can individually work as Financial Advisors.
The program targets the students who intend to gain solid scientific approaches on public finance both in theory and practice. Thus, the program has been prepared in a wide range of courses. Considering that the field of finance is versatile, the curriculum of the department consists of courses in the fields of Finance, Tax, Economics, Business Administration, Law, Public Administration as well as Statistics and Computer based courses as Machine Learning.
